Responsibilities

Lead the efforts of multiple teams on client engagements

Drive growth and profitability by generating new revenue on existing clients

Cross selling into other lines of business

Developing new clients for the practice

Work closely with RSM’s National Financial Services tax industry leader to develop strategies and initiatives to further grow the Asset Management tax practice

Mentor and coach our people to achieve challenging and rewarding careers

Develop future leaders for our firm

Required

12+ years of experience in business taxation working for a Big 4 or a large national, regional or local accounting firm; or equivalent in law firms or industry with a focus on Financial Services clients including: Private Equity, Venture Capital, or Hedge Funds

Bachelor's degree in Accounting

CPA, JD, LLM, or EA

Extensive tax compliance & consulting experience serving Financial Services clients

Must be able to support financial growth efforts and manage a book of business

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred

A proven record of simultaneously managing multiple projects and engagement teams for various clients

Project management and critical thinking skills

Ability to generate new business and extend service opportunities

Experience preparing or reviewing accounting for income taxes in accordance with ASC 740

Experience in dealing with international tax matters
