The Hawai`i State Judiciary is seeking an Architect V for its Capital and Improvement Projects Division. This role involves providing technical expertise, planning and coordinating capital improvement projects, and overseeing architectural services during construction.

Responsibilities

Advising on designs, cost estimates, renovation and construction plans, and lease agreements
Conducting site visits to assess conditions, feasibility, and code compliance
Preparing designs, drawings, and specifications for minor projects
Overseeing architectural services during construction—approving shop drawings, evaluating change requests, clarifying design details, and reviewing post-contract drawings
Preparing funding justifications
Participating in final inspections
Investigating construction-related issues
Supporting statewide CIP planning
Serving as liaison with DAGS, A/E consultants, and contractors
Performing other related duties as assigned

Required

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in architecture or architectural engineering; or an equivalent combination of education and experience in architecture work which satisfies the requirements of the State of Hawaii's Board of Professional Engineers, Architects, Surveyors, and Landscape Architects
One (1) year of registered professional architectural engineering experience
Applicants must possess a valid and current license and registration as a professional architect in the State of Hawaii
A valid and current driver's license to operate a motor vehicle
