Responsibilities

Responsible for new product design, from concept to production, of actuation products
Responsible for providing direction for the product technical roadmap for the actuator product lines
Responsible for all VA/VE and supplier resourcing activities, and pipeline, within the actuator product lines
Provide cross functional alignment on all new business pursuits and quoting activities
First/Main point of contact for technical support for all actuator discussions
Coordinate projects closely with customers, suppliers and peers(including cross functional SMEs) in conjunction with Program Management
Demonstrates analytical thinking by proactively identifying current and potential design risks/problems and execute problem solving tools to address them
Lead development of new product concepts and participate on new program quotations
Work closely with, and provide guidance, coaching, and leadership to a team of product engineers
Identify and drive benchmarking analysis of products to support product development and new business pursuits
Manages team performance and provides effective coaching/development to team as needed
Supports organizational change management to align the team with future strategy

Required

Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical or Mechatronics Engineering
A minimum of 8 years' experience in product development engineering with 5 years of demonstrated leadership experience
Ability to promote effective analysis for root cause solutions to problems through effective problem-solving methods
Experience in DFMEA/PFMEA, PPAP, DFA tools, and new product development processes
Demonstrated APQP experience, specifically with starting/implementing design engineering changes
Strong analytical skills
Self-motivated
Experience in one or more of the following required: mechanical design, gear/geartrain design, bearings technology, spring/compliance/lost motion design, electrical machines such as brushed and brushless DC motors including controls interaction understanding
Ability to effectively control and manage changes in the production environment and systems
Demonstrates effective collaboration techniques and ability to build networks with people from different countries and cultures, think and work with them to bring positive impact
Acts as a role model for honesty and integrity and demonstrates sound business ethics
Ability to align customer needs and satisfaction to business strategy and leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions
Demonstrated capability in the use of effective resource planning techniques
Able to travel internationally, including Asia Pacific Region
up to 25% travel may be required to meet the needs of the business
