Part Time - Documenters - Communications
Penn State University is seeking to fill a wage payroll position in its News Lab for the Fall 2025/Spring 2026 academic year. The successful candidate will work independently and with the Editorial Director to coordinate, market, and host newsroom events and trainings, ensuring effective communication and organization throughout the process.

Coordinate, market, and host newsroom events and trainings
Work with the News Lab team to guarantee promotional posters and social media posts
Communicate with trainers and track student participation
Coordinate post-programming surveys and perform tasks as assigned
Qualification
Required
Current Penn State employee or student must apply through Workday
Successful candidate will work independently and with the Editorial Director of the Media Center
Coordinate, market, and host newsroom events and trainings
Coordinate with the News Lab team to guarantee promotional posters and social media posts
Communicate with trainers
Track student participation
Coordinate post-programming surveys
Students must be motivated, organized, responsible, and creative
Position requires approximately 30 hours across the semester
Employment will require successful completion of background check(s)
