Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs
Indiana University is a federally designated Minority Serving and Hispanic Serving Institution, and they are seeking an Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. The EVCAA will serve as the chief academic officer, overseeing all academic programs, faculty matters, and resource allocation while promoting student success and inclusive community culture.

Responsibilities
Directly supervises deans, directors, and academic unit leaders, including the Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Health and Human Services, and Professional Studies; the Schools of Education, the Arts, Business and Economics, and Public and Environmental Affairs; the IU School of Medicine–Northwest; the Library; the Center for Innovation and Scholarship in Teaching and Learning (CISTL); and the Center for Urban and Regional Excellence (CURE)
Works in collaboration with these administrators to plan, set goals, manage resources, and assess progress
Oversees faculty recruitment, selection, evaluation, compensation, promotion, tenure, and professional development, as well as research support
Provides leadership for new and revised academic programming; ensures the periodic review of programs, assessment of student learning, and continuous improvement of academic effectiveness
Recommends allocation of resources to academic units and support departments and oversees their budgets
Ensures effective communication on academic matters within the campus and between academic units and external constituencies
Encourages and supports faculty scholarship, publication, and creative work, and promotes campus-wide academic and cultural vitality
Serves as a member of the Chancellor’s Executive Leadership Group, the IU Northwest Council, and the Academic Leadership Council of Indiana University
Represents the campus in system, state, and national academic contexts and deputizes for the chancellor in his absence
Qualification
Required
An earned doctorate or other appropriate terminal degree, with credentials meriting appointment at the rank of full Professor in a discipline offered at IU Northwest
Distinguished record of teaching, scholarship, and service in higher education
Significant and successful leadership experience in academic administration at the level of dean or higher, including budgetary, personnel, accreditation, and academic planning responsibilities
Demonstrated commitment to the mission and values of public higher education and to regional comprehensive institutions
Experience with enrollment management, student success initiatives, and curricular innovation, including online and collaborative programming
Proven track record of supporting an inclusive campus environment for faculty, staff, and students
Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaborative leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a shared governance environment
Demonstrated creativity, integrity, and resourcefulness in academic leadership
Ability to sustain energy, optimism, and good judgment in a demanding senior leadership role
