They are seeking a Production Engineer for their Paper Mill in Mosinee, WI, to support safety and day-to-day operations of the paper machines, focusing on maintenance, reliability, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
Support, develop, and implement safety procedures and policies
Help manage day to day operations and coordinate with maintenance
Help manage raw materials with the day-to-day grade schedule on the paper machines
Machine downtime support
Support implementing process and procedure changes
Own and implement continuous improvement projects including process development, capital project development and implementation, cost reduction projects to support Safety, Acceptance, and Availability
Must follow Ahlstrom’s manufacturing and hygiene processes, procedures and policies, as applicable, to the position’s areas of responsibility, in order to meet and maintain the safety, quality, and regulatory compliance requirements for each grade of paper
Effectively communicate and relay information to your team regarding day to day operations and potential maintenance scheduling or business needs
Conduct an effective daily meeting with the crew to share information and listen to concerns/needs from the team
Be a coach and mentor for the team, develop and foster a caring and collaborative environment for the team to grow, thrive and take pride in all that they do
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Paper Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience
Minimum of 2 years' experience in paper manufacturing operations
Strong cost savings awareness and ability of continuous improvement
Must have experience working with union workforce
