Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) – Bloomington is seeking a qualified and motivated individual for a tenure-track faculty appointment as the Assistant Director of Research and Director of Graduate Studies. The successful candidate will lead research initiatives and oversee the Cell and Molecular Cancer Biology PhD program, while also engaging in externally funded cancer research.

Responsibilities

Serve as the Assistant Director for Research for the IUSM-Bloomington campus of the Indiana University Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center (IUSCCC)
Serve as the Director of Graduate Studies for the Cell and Molecular Cancer Biology (CMCB) PhD program
Develop an internationally competitive and externally funded research program in the field of cancer biology
Lead an educational or administrative team

Required

Terminal degree required. PhD or equivalent
A strong publication and funding track record in cancer research
Demonstrated ability to develop an internationally competitive and externally funded research program in the field of cancer biology
Experience with, and a thorough understanding of, graduate education
Demonstrated excellence in leadership as evidenced by leading an educational or administrative team

Preferred

Preference given to those who have achieved tenure and the rank of Associate or Full Professor
