The role involves designing, building, deploying, and supporting network and server infrastructure while addressing support requests and working on special projects to research new technology and solve complex problems.

Responsibilities
Designing, building, deploying, and supporting network and server infrastructure
Response and remediation of any system availability and performance incidents
Response and remediation of any security threats identified within our environment
Addressing support requests requiring administrator level access and skillsets
Collecting and analyzing business requirements
Researching and recommending appropriate solutions
Performing the hands-on work required to build, configure, test, and deploy the agreed technical solutions
Providing appropriate documentation and training to equip the Operations teams with the ability to maintain and support those solutions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
Knowledge of server hardware, virtualization, and networking is required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred
Experience with VMware, Windows and/or Linux server operating systems
Experience with Active Directory, DNS, file servers, SQL databases, web servers, firewall management, router and switch configurations, scripting, and automation
Preferred industry standard certifications include: A+, CCNA/CCNP, MCSA/MCSE or equivalent experience
