The City and County of Honolulu is seeking a Water Systems Operator II to ensure the delivery of clean water across the island. This role involves monitoring water reservoir levels, supervising field investigations, and training crew members on operational protocols and equipment.

Qualification
Required
Must be a citizen, national, or permanent resident alien of the United States or a non-citizen eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment
Experience and/or training of sufficient scope and quality to show competence in the operation of electrically-driven water pumping plant equipment
Demonstrated knowledge of basic principles of supervision; practices and procedures used in the operation of electrically-operated pumping plant equipment; types and functions of machinery and equipment used in pumping stations; principles and practices of electricity and hydraulics; departmental rules, regulations, procedures and standards; occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the work
Current State of Hawaii Distribution System Operator (DSO) Grade IV Certification
Verification Requirement: You must submit evidence of your State of Hawaii DSO Grade IV Certification to be given credit
Preferred
Supervisory experience is not required; however highly desired
