Responsibilities
Troubleshoot issues related to network and application performance using defined toolset
Implement, configure, administer, and maintain the critical applications and related infrastructure elements that provide monitoring, alerting, and reporting for network infrastructure components on the RTX production network
Facilitate vendor support and ensure compliance with all RTX policies, standards, and processes
Support a flexible schedule, collaborating amongst multiple functions and frameworks to support a business-critical 24 x 7 operational environment
Service user requests, maintain documentation, support management activities, project initiatives and continual process improvement efforts
Qualification
Required
Typically Requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field
2 years experience in networking fundamentals, skilled in network and application troubleshooting
Preferred
Knowledge of ITIL Foundations and/or ITIL Service Operations
Working knowledge of network packet capture solutions, trace analysis, and SNMP-based network management solutions
Experience with Linux-related scripting (Bash, Perl, Python, etc.) and REST APIs
Highly motivated, self-starter able to adjust quickly to changing priorities, making quick decisions with limited information
Adept at navigating cross functional processes, interfacing with both technical and non-technical staff at all levels
Knowledge of network based synthetic testing and network transport capacity analysis
Ability to translate technical information for both technical and business audiences
Able to develop content and deliver user training for supported platforms
Expertise with network observability processes and best practices
