SAIC is seeking a Hardware Engineer for shipboard Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) major systems. This role involves reviewing system engineering documents, planning and delivering engineering deliverables, and supporting risk identification and mitigation for C5ISR systems.

Responsibilities

Perform review of system engineering documents for stage 4 and 5 test procedures development and test execution for shipboard C5ISR systems

Plan and delivery of high-quality engineering deliverables including contract CDRLS in support of program requirements

Develop, update, and maintain project engineering documents including stage 4 and 5 test procedures, ICDs, Block Diagrams, schematics, technical and operational manuals for C5ISR systems

Support the proactive identification and mitigation of risks

Assess C5ISR hardware configurations (eg, cabinets/trays/fixtures/sway braces/cables/connectors) and perform engineering environmental qualifications analysis (eg, vibration, shock, EMI)

Required

Bachelor's and nine (9) years or more relevant experience with one or more C5ISR systems radio communication racks, Interior Communications (Alarm/Safety/Warning), shipboard CGOne/Unclass/SIPRNET LANs, Surface Search Radar, Navigation Distribution system, Integrated Bridge System. An additional four years of experience in lieu of degree requirement

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing requirements

Experience with Environmental Qualification testing and analysis of shipboard systems

Must have an active secret clearance on first day of employment
