Responsibilities

Architect, configure, and maintain VMware infrastructure to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance across virtualized systems
Deploy, configure, and manage core VMware technologies such as vSphere, vCenter, VSAN, NSX, and other related products
Work collaboratively with IT team members to troubleshoot, resolve, and prevent issues within the virtualization environment
Create, update, and maintain comprehensive documentation for virtualization infrastructure, including system configurations and procedures
Design and implement disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity strategies to ensure data integrity and system resilience
Plan, test, and execute upgrades and patching for VMware infrastructure to maintain security and performance
Continuously monitor virtual infrastructure health, proactively identifying areas for tuning and performance enhancement

Required

6+ years of experience with designing, configuring and maintaining VMware environments to ensure availability, reliability, and performance
6+ years of experience with installing, configuring, and managing VMware vSphere, vCenter, NSX, and VSAN
2+ years of experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and tool development
Experience with working in cross-functional and matrixed teams
Secret clearance
HS diploma or GED
Ability to obtain a DoD 8570.11 IAT Level II Certification such as CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA‑Security, GSEC, or SSCP Certification within 30 days of hire date

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
