Responsibilities

Work with project managers and senior business stakeholders to understand the business problem and landscape in which they need to operate

Understand the current software stack with which your company works and evaluate its architecture from a functional and technical fit

Define and design proposed software architecture that fits the specifications of the project or business solution

Demonstrated experience in cloud architecture design, implementation, and enhancements of an auto-scalable, highly available, fault-tolerant, cross-domain (multiple domains with various access level restrictions) on AWS

Firm foundation in software development (minimum of 3 years) with knowledge of modern software languages (e.g., Python, Bash Scripting, JavaScript, PowerShell, etc.)

Hands-on experience in network administration (minimum of 5 years)

Minimum of 5 years managing and providing technical leadership to a team throughout the project lifecycle

Demonstrated ability to regularly communicate new features and benefits to partners, customers, and other stakeholders

Comfortable Developing proof-of-concept projects to validate your proposed solutions

Ability to Review and validate solutions designs from other team members

Strong ability to Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate new technologies into existing environments and ensure that cloud solutions meet business objectives

Expert ability to troubleshoot identifying and resolving technical issues within the cloud system, making necessary adjustments or recommendations for improvements

Strong Technical Expertise in designing and building modern, forward leaning cloud solutions meeting customer expectations (including on-demand access, multiple approval levels, fully automated CI/CD pipelines, fully integrated Role Based Access Controls (RBACs), low maintenance infrastructure, SSO, etc.)

Ensure solutions and infrastructures align with agency’s IT security standards

Ability to document and provide strategic direction, roadmap, and standards

Significant experience creating and maintaining architecture design and standards within the models

Deep understanding/experience in AWS Cloud technology enabling you to design solutions answering the complex needs for multifaceted applications and IT systems

Ability to provide Systems Engineering Lifecycle (SELC) support to include ‘hands on’ execution

Strong ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies identifying solution impact

Ability to work independently, and possess an aptitude for getting things done
