Responsibilities

Drives the development of pricing, promotional and clearance programs to maximize profitability across all channels
Assesses performance of active, ‘slow-moving’ items and reviews exceptions with Demand Planner and Commercial lead to confirm exit strategies if required
Assesses performance of discontinued SKUs to and recommends further price reductions as needed to Commercial General Manager
Assesses ownership and rate of sale of discontinued product in stores and eComm/Distribution Centers and provides selling insights to Store leadership and Location Planners
Develops recommended pricing for further reductions on Clearance SKUs post the first initial reduction from Demand Planners
Collaborates cross-functionally to support execution of pricing processes, including managing price record files, executing price changes and promotions, ensuring pricing integrity and compliance
Defines, develops and implements overall pricing guardrails and methodologies (e.g., initial mark-up targets, approved exceptions, clearance pricing ladder, etc.)
Drives pricing analytics, testing and tracking; determines implications for the business and communicates findings across the organization
Ensures price competitiveness through benchmarking, testing/pilots and other diagnostics, particularly in key value perception categories
Creates ad hoc reporting to enable analysis, recaps, and refinement of pricing and promotional decisions
Leads Pricing Analyst and supports Commercial Leads in key pricing tactic decisions
Responsible for maintaining discretion related to all confidential/sensitive company and customer information
Performs other requested tasks and duties

Required

Bachelor's degree required
A minimum of three years of experience in pricing and complex analytics required
Strong analytical skills including demonstrated aptitude with financial analysis and ability to generate insight from large and complex data sets
Strategic thinker as well as tactical executor
Proficient in SQL
Based in Dallas/Ft. Worth area
Ability to travel 10% a year, based on the business needs
Strong computer skills: proficiency in advanced Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
Is influential throughout the organization and is considered a trusted ally
Able to see and reinforce link between business strategy and pricing strategy
Demonstrates strong quantitative skills and analytical approach to problem solving
Understanding of pricing processes and best practices
Ensures collaboration across business functions
Able to ensure pricing compliance
Experience managing others including career development, directing and evaluating work
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a professional manner, both orally and in writing, at all levels within and outside the organization
Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects at once
Possesses focused attention to detail while working quickly and accurately under pressure
Makes strategic and effective decisions in the best interest of our customers and our company, taking care to objectively process information

Advanced degree with analytic or quantitative focus
Retail experience strongly preferred
Power BI knowledge a plus
