Electronics Test Technician III, 3rd Shift (Onsite)

Responsibilities

Testing a variety of electronic units using prescribed test procedures:
Setting up and operating various test stands
Configuring test equipment for special tests as needed
Interpreting and recording test results
Recognizing and isolating test equipment failures
Using diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electronic units to the sub-assembly and component level
Reading and interpreting technical data such as component maintenance manuals, engineering prints, and schematics
Effectively communicating work status to team members and support staff (e.g. shift pass down, engineering, maintenance)
Understand theory of electronic circuitry and electrical components
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
Ability to read and interpret technical data
Ability to write in a clear and concise technical manner
Good computer skills and knowledge of office software applications
3rd Shift: Monday – Thursday, 8:00 pm - 6:00 am
Training could take place on 1st Shift or 2nd Shift depending on need: if 1st Shift, Monday to Friday, 6am to 2:30pm for up to 60 days

Required

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
Experience with reading or interpreting schematics, blueprints, or technical drawings
Experience with using multimeters or oscilloscopes
Testing a variety of electronic units using prescribed test procedures
Setting up and operating various test stands
Configuring test equipment for special tests as needed
Interpreting and recording test results
Recognizing and isolating test equipment failures
Using diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electronic units to the sub-assembly and component level
Reading and interpreting technical data such as component maintenance manuals, engineering prints, and schematics
Effectively communicating work status to team members and support staff (e.g. shift pass down, engineering, maintenance)

Preferred

Electrical Technician Certification
Associates Degree in Electronics
Prior experience with component level troubleshooting
