Responsibilities
Perform magnetic particle inspection of generator and turbine rotors, reporting requirements, steam turbine casings, identification of fusion lines, vane carrier, and blades
Perform hot magnetic particle inspection
Perform dye penetrant inspection removed blades, retaining rings and faceplates, installed blades, generator dovetails, vane carriers, wedges, and hardware
Review safety requirements for Ultrasonic Inspections
Perform Ultrasonic Inspection bearings / braze coupons, tenons, blade pins (installed), weld build-up, phased array weld build-up, phased array L-O steeples, flaw depth sizing, retaining ring forging and bar stock
Set up and operate hardness testing Equotip, Wilson, and Clark
Preform dimensional measurements, makes visual assessment of turbine component
Prepare and tracks Non-Conformance Reports
Provide detailed report of all inspections
