Journeyman Electrician

The Journeyman Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, modifying, and repairing electrical distribution systems and associated equipment across various project environments.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and manufacturer installation manuals
Install, maintain, modify, and repair electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment
Bend pipe and perform conduit installation (EMT, rigid, flex)
Understand and perform basic electrical wiring and terminations
Remain in full compliance with all current National Electrical Code (NEC) standards
Inspect, test, and troubleshoot components including transformers, transfer switches, and switchgear
Ensure all work meets safety requirements, project specifications, and company quality expectations
Maintain clean and organized work areas; uphold LLR Electric’s safety culture
Collaborate with foremen, apprentices, and project teams to meet project timelines

Required

MUST be over the age of 18
MUST have a valid Journeyman Electrician License – [State]
MUST have a High School Diploma or equivalent
MUST have a valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation
MUST be a U.S. Citizen or possess a valid work permit
MUST have a felony-free background
MUST be drug-free before and during employment
MUST maintain a neat and professional appearance on all job sites

Preferred

Experience in residential, commercial, industrial, and/or agricultural electrical environments
Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with modern diagnostic tools
Ability to mentor and guide apprentices
Knowledge of job-site safety procedures, lockout/tagout, and OSHA requirements
