Responsibilities

You will be responsible for identifying and deriving system requirements
Be responsible for the definition of mechanical outline and construction details, connector selection and specification, mechanical and assembly drawings, oversee electrical layout, perform first order electrical analysis, and ownership of final technical data package
You will be responsible for meeting cost, schedule, quality, and performance requirements for finished product
You will interact with senior personnel on significant technical matters, often requiring coordination between cross-functional organizations and physical locations
You will be responsible for developing technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems related to the entire product life cycle including proposal, design, manufacture, integration and test of electronics and interconnect packaging solutions for multiple missile programs
You will be called on to provide expertise in a wide range of tasking, sometimes outside scope of traditional design responsibilities

Required

Typically requires Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience or 9 years of prior relevant experience in lieu of degree or advanced degree and 3 years of relevant experience
A minimum of five (5) years of experience in the design and/or manufacturing of wire harnessing for military, or aerospace, or commercial applications
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
DoD Clearance: Secret

Preferred

Eight (08) or more years of experience in the design and manufacturing of flex, rigid flex, round wire, RF, and/or fiber optic harnessing for military and aerospace applications
Demonstrated expertise with Creo Parametric (MCAD) software and Windchill (PLM)
Familiarity with Technical Data Package (TDP) requirements to include ASME drawing standards
Experience working with harness and interconnect manufacturers to support program needs and travel periodically to manufacturing facilities
Demonstrated strong technical background with high technical aptitude
Experience with industry specifications such as IPC/WHMA-A-620, SAE AS22759, J-STD-001 Mil-PRF-31032, IPC-6013, IPC-2221, or IPC-2223
Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
Very strong verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills when working with both technical and non-technical team members and customers
Self-starter, ability to work independently
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
