Responsibilities

Perform technical research on complex accounting issues (with heavy emphasis on business arrangements, contingent considerations, etc.) and provide accounting consultation advice to business partners under US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Work with various cross-functional stakeholders on complex accounting issues
Draft and maintain global accounting policies and memos
Keep business partners abreast of developments in accounting and financial reporting and related firm policies and positions through issuance of various publications, training sessions and other meeting forums; draft comment letters to standard setters

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA)
10 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 8 years with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance

Preferred

Experience working in a technical accounting or similar role at the Social and Economic Committee (SEC) or Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB)
Ability to have strong attention to detail, and focus on continuous improvement
Ability to have a collaborative style and work with cross-functional and international teams
Ability to own projects and lead others (direct or indirect) to meet deadlines while maintaining quality of the work
Ability to remove and anticipate roadblocks with the potential to impede progress
Excellent organizational, investigative skills with the ability to communicate effectively with executive management
