Responsibilities

Receive, document, and prioritize internal repair orders (ROs) for used car reconditioning, new car PDI, lot repairs, and sold-vehicle service needs
Communicate effectively with technicians, parts staff, management, and sales personnel to coordinate workflow and completion timelines
Review vehicles for needed reconditioning and prepare accurate repair estimates
Track and update RO status, parts availability, technician assignments, and expected completion times
Ensure all repair work meets dealership, manufacturer, and safety standards
Approve or escalate repair costs following dealership guidelines
Maintain accurate documentation in the dealership management system (DMS)
Support inventory readiness by ensuring vehicles are prepared for sale in a timely manner
Monitor reconditioning costs and help improve efficiency and turnaround times
Assist with quality control checks on completed repairs
Support general service department operations as needed

Required

Previous experience as a Service Advisor, Internal Advisor, Service Writer, or similar role in an automotive dealership is preferred, but we are certainly willing to train the right individual that has less experience
Strong knowledge of automotive systems, repair processes, and service operations is a plus
Excellent communication, time-management, and organizational skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and collaborate across departments
High school diploma or equivalent required; automotive certifications or training is a plus
Valid Wisconsin driver's license
