Responsibilities
Demonstrated ability to efficiently manage highway design projects, including drainage, alignments, and related tasks
Prepare and maintain comprehensive design plans, detailed specifications, technical reports, and accurate cost estimates
Ensure designs adhere to state and local standards, regulations and safety codes
Promote, utilize and support QA/QC processes to guarantee quality deliverables
Collaborate with internal teams, clients, subconsultants and agencies to ensure seamless project delivery
Proactively support project managers with schedules, documentation, and presentations
Assist with field inspections and data collection for roadway projects
Qualification
Required
B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, Master's preferred
5-10 years of transportation experience Highway Design Engineering experience preferred
EIT required
Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred or ability to obtain it
Proficiency in MicroStation, STAAD, OpenRoads, and Bridge Design Software preferred
Familiarity with state DOT design standards (NYSDOT or PennDOT preferred)
