Senior Network Engineer - NCIS - Active TS/SCI Clearance Required
ITC Federal is an information technology and consulting company focused on servicing the needs of the Federal Government. They are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to support the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) within its Information Technology Directorate, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of NCIS network infrastructure across multiple locations.

Responsibilities
Test, monitor, and analyze all components of network facilities across multiple enclaves
Monitor and control the performance and status of network resources using hardware and software tools
Identify, diagnose, and resolve issues affecting network performance, availability, access, and stability
Analyze network usage, traffic flows, interfaces, and operational trends to optimize system performance
Provide technical planning, design, integration, installation, troubleshooting, repair, and documentation for network and communications systems
Perform provisioning, operations, testing, and emergency response for ongoing VOIP network operations
Oversee and manage upgrades to voice, video, and network systems across a multi-location enterprise environment
Ensure all operational and support documentation is accurate, complete, and up to date
Conduct preventative maintenance and continuous network improvements
Maintain awareness of emerging technologies in cloud services, online media, storage solutions, and data center technologies to inform modernization efforts
Work with vendors on equipment specifications, support escalations, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management
Provide training, guidance, and technical expertise to system users and junior network staff
Qualification
Required
TS/SCI adjudicated clearance required at start of contract
Minimum 10 years of increasingly complex experience in computer system and network engineering
At least 2 years of specialized experience directly related to the assigned tasks
Expert-level configuration experience with Cisco routers and switches, including: 4500, 6500, 3750, 3850, ASR 1000
Cisco Nexus platforms (2k, 5k, 7k, 9k)
Expert knowledge of enterprise routing protocols, including OSPF and BGP
Strong understanding of network performance metrics, packet capture/analysis, and troubleshooting
Experience configuring and managing firewalls such as: Cisco Firepower, Palo Alto, Forcepoint Sidewinder, Juniper
Experience with enterprise tools such as SolarWinds, Kiwi Cat Tools, Cisco ISE, Prime, ACI, NSX, or other SDN solutions
Experience with SD-WAN, ideally including migration from MPLS to SD-WAN
Ability to write clear procedural documentation, test plans, and system requirements
Experience with system administration on Cisco platforms and network monitoring systems
Ability to troubleshoot LAN, WAN, wireless, and SAN issues using industry-standard tools and methodologies
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Required Certifications: DoD 8570.01-M IAT II (minimum Security+ or equivalent), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), CISSP
Preferred
CCIE Route/Switch certification, strongly preferred
Experience supporting law enforcement, intelligence, or defense networks
Experience working in high-security, multi-enclave, globally distributed environments
Familiarity with NCIS, DoN, or DoD enterprise network architectures and standards
