Responsibilities
Own quality management system processes for Amazon Leo's satellite launch operations
Lead a team of Quality Engineers, Inspectors and Technicians supporting concurrent missions across multiple launch partners
Weigh in on time-critical decisions impacting satellite quality as the most-senior quality leader within Launch
Drive defect identification and reduction activities including application of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) tools
Foster a culture of quality, improvement and learning with Amazon Leo
Qualification
Required
Experience in manufacturing, process, or industrial engineering
Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
10+ years working with commercial space and/or aerospace hardware
7+ years working under AS9100 or ISO9001 compliance, or similar
7+ years leading APQP and Root Cause Analysis for hardware failures across multiple disciplines (PCBA, assembly, avionics, machining, test)
7+ years managing Quality/Manufacturing teams
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
Preferred
Experience leading quality teams within the commercial space industry
GD&T, ASME Y14.5 and machined part inspection processes
IPC610 Class 3 compliant Electronics assembly and inspection processes
