Responsibilities

Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive utilities strategy for Amazon Logistics network for AMER regions
Work collaboratively with internal and external teams to support strategic site selection and development
Develop partnerships with utility providers, developers, landlords, and OEMs to secure grid capacity, drive cost efficiencies, and establish Amazon as a strategic energy partner in key markets
Manage a portfolio of complex energy projects
Collaborate with internal teams and regulated utilities on the implementation and management of energy projects to meet the business timelines
Identify and develop innovative cost savings projects (capital and operational) and initiatives related to energy infrastructure and supply
Work with communities and regulators to develop policies and guidelines that enable broader Amazon strategies and objectives

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Administration or a related field
Experience managing large-scale projects from end to end
7+ years of program or project management experience
7+ years working in utility/energy industry in a commercial/business development or technical role
5+ years of power transaction or contracting experience in US (e.g. PJM & MISO) energy markets, performing financial models and analysis on rates and energy cost, negotiation interconnection agreements and related contracts with utilities and contractors

Preferred

Master's degree or above in business economics, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, information technology or equivalent
10+ years of experience in energy infrastructure, utilities, grid-interconnection strategy, power system planning, energy markets, or distributed energy projects — ideally within a complex, multi-region portfolio
Experience evaluating and implementing innovative infrastructure and operational strategies within the energy sector, such as energy storage, demand response, renewables, etc
Experience working directly with public utility commissions and other energy regulators
