Grinding Operator 1st shift
Theragenics is a company focused on manufacturing precision medical devices. The Grinding Operator is responsible for cutting tubes to specified dimensions and ensuring product quality through various inspection methods.

Responsibilities
Performs work by reading instructions and drawings; identifying non-conforming product
Verifies specifications by using proper measuring tools
Maintains a safe and clean work environment by following procedures, rules and regulations
Follows all product handling procedures; handles product with care
Documents actions by completing production forms and routers
Use various inspection tools to include micrometers, calipers, and microscope to verify workmanship of product
Notifies group leader or supervisor of any problems or quality related issues
Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
Ability to stand throughout eight hour shift
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related goals and results as needed within the Assembly/Inspection, Cleaning/Finishing, and Metal Fabrication Department
Performs other duties as required
Qualification
Required
High School diploma, GED or equivalent (required)
Requires 6 – 12 months to learn and apply comprehensive skills, basic to moderate levels of mechanical skills, and the operation of equipment and machinery used by the department
Ability to stand throughout an eight-hour shift
Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
Ability to read and understand product labels, policies, diagrams, safety instructions
Ability to convey detailed messages department to supervisor and other employees
Preferred
Previous experience working is preferred
