Responsibilities
Support the development of tooling and equipment for all Pit Technologies groups and operations, primarily through CAD modeling and drafting
Work closely with other Pit Technologies product engineering, design, and fabrication personnel in a dynamic and collaborative work environment to supply your customers with timely and novel tooling designs that are fit for use in a Category 2 nuclear facility
Work independently and be self-directed in determining technical objectives of assignments
Work as a part of a high-performing team
Contributing to continuous process improvement initiatives to better meet customer requirements
Qualification
Required
Experience in use of computer-aided drafting (CAD) and product data management (PDM) software tools used to produce models, drawings, layouts and sketches of components or systems
Working level understanding of modeling and drawing drafting principles, application of standards, symbols, notes, GD&T on drawings and models to capture design intent
Fundamental understanding of ASME, ANSI, AWS and related industry standards for addressing fit, form and function
Fundamental understanding of engineering, design, and drafting concepts related to a mechanical, electro/mechanical or electrical disciplines
Fundamental knowledge of principles for design, fabrication, assembly and fielding of components and mechanisms
Fundamental understanding of component and tool design, fixturing, printed circuit boards, schematics, and facility equipment
Fundamental understanding of machine shop equipment like mill, lathe, drill press, welder and inspection equipment
Fundamental understanding of engineering materials and their suitability for component design and manufacture
Ability to work on diverse teams, collaborating on novel designs from rough sketches with minimal guidance from a senior level technicians
Position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of related experience, or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation
Position requires an Associate's Degree in an Engineering or Technical field and 3 years of related experience, or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation
Preferred
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Creo Parametric and PDMLink
ASME GDTP Technologist Certification (ASME Y14.5-2009) (higher level only)
Active DOE 'Q' clearance (or equivalent)
