Huitt-Zollars, Inc. is a leading Architectural and Engineering firm that has an immediate full-time opportunity for an Architectural Staff in their Orlando office. This role involves supporting Architects, Project Managers, and Designers in preparing design and construction drawings, while assisting in construction administration for various projects.

Responsibilities

Simultaneous work on a minimum of 2-3 projects at various stages of development
Prepares project designs and construction documents using BIM software and equipment
Support mid-level and senior design architects, basic design and production software, capable of 3D design modeling, and be able to collaborate in sketching and team design
Prepares various documents during the course of the project development including meeting minutes, project specifications, agency applications, etc
Visit project sites under the direction of a supervisor and assist with the documentation of findings, if needed
Research materials, assemblies, or building codes for appropriate incorporation into design and construction drawings as directed by a supervisor
Integrate information from consultants and suppliers into Revit Models for documentation
Assist in the processing of contractor submittals and RFIs by logging in the documents and routing them to the appropriate party for review
Attend, record, and distribute meeting minutes and assist with general project correspondence if needed
Assist or prepare graphic materials for presentation or documents
Understands, follows, and enforces Huitt-Zollars' business process
Productively collaborates with others and leads or encourages teams to achieve success and camaraderie amongst each other
Understands and follows HZ QMS and Quality initiatives. Ensures quality control measures are being adhered to on projects and daily operations
Understands duties and responsibilities, possesses necessary job knowledge and technical skills, maintains job knowledge current
Assist with appropriate administrative and project support tasks supporting the needs of the project team and office
Complete assignments on-time, within budget, and with highest level of quality
Routinely proposes and produces more effective ways to accomplish assignments

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from a NCARB accredited program
Minimum 2 to 3 years of related experience in commercial and institutional projects
Must be engaged in AXP and actively pursuing licensure
Ability to read redlines and modify Revit models and other documents accurately from redlines
Proficient in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong problem solving/analysis, and technical capacity to research and apply building codes
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong task-oriented time management
Possess collaborative teamwork abilities
