Responsibilities
Support users with first and second level tickets
Optimize and improve current systems like Citrix and Microsoft solutions
Manage local hardware and network equipment
Visit sites across North America to provide support, handle upgrades and ensure that IT installations are under control
Evaluates system potential by testing compatibility of new programs with existing programs
Evaluates vendor-supplied software by studying user objectives; testing software compatibility with existing hardware and programs
Places software into production by loading software into computer; entering necessary commands
Places hardware into production by establishing connections; entering necessary commands
Maximizes use of hardware and software by training users; interpreting instructions; answering questions
Manages all internet, telephone, cell phone and support agreements for hardware
Cooperate with Global IT for strategic projects, improvements, and IT security
Prepares reference for users by writing operating instructions
Maintains historical records by documenting hardware and software changes and revisions, tracking of hardware at all plant locations and office
Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
Adhere to attendance guidelines of the company at assigned work location
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree in Information Technology along with (3-5) years' experience or equivalent education and/or experience
Valid driver's license is required
Experience in software and hardware maintenance, testing, and implementation
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft solutions that include Office, Windows, Teams, AD, Entra, Azure and knowledge about devices like printers, computers and drivers
Proficient in presenting information in an easily understood manner
Preferred
Experience in the processing industry is desired but not required
