Director of Client Development

Responsibilities

Drive new business development through your existing client-side relationships – clients, former clients with whom you have worked or know personally
Develop new client relationships through strategically smart and focused outreach to new prospects and follow-up with at the appropriate intervals with relevant information to stimulate a conversation
Build organizational maps at targeted accounts to identify decision makers. Prepare account plans identifying penetration approach and tactics
Leverage HubSpot to log and track all client and prospect interactions, ensuring seamless communication, timely follow-up, and a personalized experience that strengthens relationships and drives faster, more informed sales outcomes
Build and manage a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities within pharma and med tech manufacturing companies
Conduct high-quality, client-facing conversations to understand needs and articulate the value of Viscadia’s services
Partner with Viscadia consultants who will develop proposals, ensuring smooth handoff and collaboration through the sales cycle
Develop relationships across client organizations, leveraging both your own network and proactive outreach
Ability to represent Viscadia at conferences and trade shows showing a friendly, bright, and engaging personality
Travel 20–30% for meetings with prospects and clients, conferences, and networking opportunities

Qualification

Required

At least 5 years of primary business development experience, with a proven track record of generating at least $1MM in new revenue each year
Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets, with the confidence to articulate the strategies and actions that drove results
Experience in pharmaceuticals and/or med tech selling professional services, consulting solutions, or B2B services
Strong client-facing communication skills and comfort with senior-level client conversations
Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced, and highly customized service environments
High energy, motivated, collaborative, and open to development and constructive feedback
Existing client network is required
Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree a plus

Preferred

Familiarity with at least one therapeutic area, such as oncology, neurology, or cardiovascular/metabolic (CVM) is a plus
