Responsibilities
You will gain knowledge in one or more subareas of research and understand applicable research techniques. You’ll also gain deep knowledge of a service, platform, or domain, and become familiar with the latest industry trends and applied technologies
You will apply strategies provided by other team members and incorporate state-of-the-art research. You’ll also develop an understanding of methods used in the community and gain skills in a deeply specialized area
As you reinforce a positive environment by applying proven practices, you will also support mentorship and assist with the onboarding of early in career team members. Additionally, you will maintain ties with an external network of peers and identify prospective talent, when asked
You will document work in progress and share findings to promote innovation within a group. You’ll also learn and follow ethics and privacy policies while executing research processes or collecting information
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 2+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research)
OR Master's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 1+ year(s) related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research)
OR Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field
OR equivalent experience
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research)
OR Master's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research)
OR Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 1+ year(s) related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research)
OR equivalent experience
2+ years experience creating publications (e.g., patents, libraries, peer-reviewed academic papers)
Experience presenting at conferences or other events in the outside research/industry community as an invited speaker
2+ years experience conducting research as part of a research program (in academic or industry settings)
1+ year(s) experience developing and deploying live production systems, as part of a product team
2+ years experience in machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and/or statistics
2+ years experience in Python and familiarity with coding in multiple languages
