Director of Strategic Market Growth - Data Centers
Anderson Trucking Service is seeking a Director of Strategic Market Growth for the Data Centers segment. This role is responsible for driving market strategy, cross-functional coordination, and performance analytics to ensure profitable growth in the data center industry.

Responsibilities
Translate enterprise priorities into a unified data-center market strategy aligned with ATS’s vision for sustainable, profitable growth
Define short- and long-term growth objectives for supplier-routed, EPC-driven, and owner-direct freight
Identify target EPCs, OEMs, and suppliers using industry resources (IRI), project data, and external market intelligence
Lead the development of the annual Data Center Market Plan, including volume, revenue, and margin goals by division
Develop business cases for strategic investments in capacity, marketing, equipment or technology to support market expansion
Partner with Finance and Pricing to measure market profitability and ROI by project and customer type
Facilitate alignment and communication among Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, and Operations to ensure a consistent customer experience and unified market presence
Lead the enterprise Data Center Market initiative within the Market Strategy framework, coordinating progress and reporting outcomes to executive leadership
Collaborate with division leaders (Heavy Haul, Flatbed, Logistics and Vans) to align planning, pricing, and resource allocation
Serve as change agent and promote an integrated enterprise roadmap to align systems, reporting, and training on Data Center initiatives
Build and maintain a unified view of the Data Center pipeline by integrating CRM, IRI, and operational data
Track total revenue, margin, claims and service performance across all divisions
Partner with IT to develop and maintain Power BI dashboards for leadership visibility
Prepare quarterly market performance reports for the Executive Team and Board
Identify and monitor emerging trends, capacity constraints, and growth opportunities
Exercise authority when cross-divisional issues threaten service quality or customer experience, including pausing execution or escalating issues to divisional or executive leadership when necessary to protect customer commitments and enterprise performance
Serve as the enterprise coordinator ensuring accountability and alignment for cross-divisional projects
Shape and oversee ATS’s external presence in the data-center ecosystem while collaborating with Business Development Managers (BDM) and National Sales Representatives (NSR) who own key relationships
Define an engagement strategy that leverages BDM and NSR expertise and clarifies how responsibilities are shared across EPCs, OEMs, and suppliers
Coordinate enterprise-level introductions and relationship-building at executive and strategic levels, ensuring unified messaging and customer experience
Support and empower BDMs and NSRs in expanding supplier-level relationships into new geographies or vendors to grow new business
Represent ATS at key data-center industry events (e.g. Data Center World, 7x24 Exchange, AFCOM) alongside BDMs, NSRs, and leadership
Ensure ATS is included in qualification lists, bid invitations, and early project discussions
Lead internal communication around Data Center objectives, performance, and success stories
Maintain a central repository of resources, playbooks, and marketing materials
Oversee market-specific training for Sales, Customer Service, and Project Managers
Foster a culture of collaboration and professionalism consistent with ATS’s iDRIVE values

Serve as a role model and demonstrate by their actions ATS’s Mission, Vision, and Values in a consistent, effective, and reliable manner

Complete work responsibilities outside of normal business hours as needed and infrequent travel may be required

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field; or 5-8 years relevant experience in the transportation or logistics industry
Proven experience developing and executing market growth strategies, managing P&L or ROI analysis, and building business cases for strategic investments
Demonstrated success leading cross-divisional or enterprise-wide initiatives, driving alignment, accountability, and performance across business units
Strong analytical and technical skills, with experience integrating data from multiple systems (CRM, IRI, ERP) and developing Power BI dashboards and KPI reporting for executive audiences
Experience defining customer engagement strategies and building executive-level relationships across complex, multi-stakeholder environments (EPCs, OEMs, suppliers)
Proven ability to serve as a change agent, implementing integrated systems, reporting frameworks, and training programs that support enterprise initiatives and cultural alignment
