Responsibilities
Prepare correspondence, letters, pleadings and all forms of discovery
Proofread and edit legal documents for accuracy and clarity
Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
Maintain case files on the Firm’s document and case management system
Assist in preparing for hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations and trials
Case/calendar/project management and client communication
Provide administrative support to the legal team
Qualification
Required
3+ years of Paralegal experience in Labor and Employment and Wage & Hour
Well versed in e-filing in State, Federal courts (Appellate a plus), and administrative agencies
Experience propounding/responding to discovery, calendaring hearings and court deadlines, and assisting with mediation/arbitration/trial preparation
Excellent verbal and written skills and the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels across the Firm
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, while providing leadership and guidance to paralegals, legal assistants and clerks
Strong attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills
Proficient in conducting legal research using Lexis-Nexis, Westlaw or similar platforms
Experience using Litify or similar case/document management systems
Preferred
Spanish fluency and proficiency with Microsoft 365 strongly preferred
Bachelor's degree a plus
