Andrew Morgan is a fast-growing Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and HUBZone SB. They are currently seeking a qualified Strategy Consultant to support a Senior Finance Organization within the DoD, focusing on performance improvement and organizational effectiveness.

Responsibilities
The consultant will work directly with the CFO and senior leadership on performance improvement, cross-functional integration, organizational effectiveness, and data modernization initiatives. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, comfort working in high-ambiguity environments, and the ability to frame issues, generate insights, and deliver actionable recommendations for executive decision-making
Partner with the CFO and project leadership to define, plan, and deliver strategic initiatives with measurable outcomes
Translate complex financial and organizational issues into clear insights, options, and decision frameworks
Assess current-state practices, identify gaps, and recommend practical solutions grounded in data and leading practices
Facilitate business process reviews and mapping sessions to identify efficiencies and future-state improvements
Create executive-level presentations, decision briefs, and stakeholder communications tailored for senior audiences
Support leadership preparation for meetings, forums, and engagements, ensuring priorities are advanced and follow-up actions tracked
Research and benchmark leading practices from commercial CFOs, operating models, and approaches to organizational effectiveness
Support digital and data modernization initiatives across business functions
Anticipate leadership needs and synthesize inputs across workstreams to maintain alignment on priorities
Support change management and stakeholder engagement activities to promote adoption of new processes and practices
Apply disciplined project and task management methods to track actions, measure progress, and sustain momentum
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, public policy, management, or related field
3-5 years of consulting experience, preferably with a top-tier firm
Proven experience in strategy execution, organizational effectiveness, executive advisory, or operational improvement
Strong analytical, problem solving, and conceptual thinking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to produce high-quality, executive-facing materials
Expertise in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word for executive-level analysis and presentations
Comfortable operating in high-ambiguity environments while managing multiple priorities
Self-directed and proactive in anticipating stakeholder needs and moving work forward independently
Preferred
Commercial consulting experience, ideally with direct C-suite or CFO advisory exposure
Experience supporting a commercial CFO, or advising commercial organizations, federal/DoD agencies, or health/IT enterprises undergoing major change
Knowledge of CFO functions and DoD financial processes (e.g., PPBE)
Familiarity with project/task tracking tools (e.g., ClickUp, MS Project, Jira)
Professional certifications in process improvement or change management (e.g., PROSCI, Lean Six Sigma, PMP, ITIL, CCMP)
Experience in financial analysis, data analysis or organizational performance measurement
