$15/hr - $15/hrThe Village of Germantown is seeking a reliable, conscientious, and enthusiastic person to assist in the operation of the Village’s Residential Yard Waste Facility. This part-time role involves maintaining the facility and assisting residents with their yard waste disposal needs.

Responsibilities
Generates an awareness of and promotes Village recycling and yard waste programs
Maintains vehicle count sheets
Visually checks for residency
Visually inspects loads for compliance and advises residents on questionable loads
Directs vehicle traffic within the center
Directs vehicles utilizing the center relative to proper dump off-areas, such as composting, brush, waste oil, filters, and anti-freeze
Assists in routine housekeeping duties
Answers customer inquiries relative to the facility and other Village recycling activities in a courteous manner
Qualification
Required
Good knowledge of philosophies, practices and principles relating to the operation of the yard waste facility
The ability to develop and maintain an effective relationship with the public and to communicate both verbally and in writing
Basic record keeping practices and procedures
Follow oral and written instructions
Perform basic mathematical computations
Communicate, read, write, and understand English at a level necessary for efficient job performance
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees and the general public
Deal with the public in a courteous and tactful manner
The employee must have the physical ability, strength, and mobility necessary to complete the duties independently and in concert with others
The ability to repetitively lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance approximately ten times per day
