Summer Intern: Editorial & Publications

The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage is seeking a Summer Intern for their Editorial and Publications department. Interns will work with experts, gain valuable job experience, and engage in meaningful work, focusing on editing and creating various publications.

Responsibilities

Edit text for spelling, grammar, syntax, style, voice, and consistency
Write or rewrite materials as needed
Fact-check and research information
Build web pages and perform photo research
Help create schedules and manage small projects

Qualification

Required

Eligible interns are either an undergraduate or graduate student or a recent college graduate
Criminal Background-National clearance
Ability to occasionally transport up to 25 lbs. of files, equipment or supplies
Ability to move to access files, equipment or supplies
This position requires extended time on the computer
Clearly communicate in person, by phone, and by video conference
Communicate with others in conversational and written English
Prepares for work assignments and meetings
Conducts thorough fact-finding, decision-making and/or follow through
Admits mistakes and errors and informs others when one is not able to meet a commitment
Dependably demonstrates job knowledge necessary for the position
