Edmonds College is seeking a part-time instructional technician for the Legal Aid Clinic run by their Paralegal department. The role involves serving as the point of contact for inquiries about the legal aid clinic, assisting with developing clinics in various legal areas, and training paralegal student interns on required software.

Responsibilities

Serve as the point of contact for inquiries about the current legal aid clinic focused on housing

Assist with developing clinics in other areas, such as family law, bankruptcy, wills, criminal expungement, employment law, and small claims

Help train paralegal student interns on required software to support the legal clinics

Provide assistance to the paralegal faculty during the internship class sessions and on Canvas, our learning management system

Develop, organize, and maintain physical and digital clinic resources, such as registration forms, quarterly spreadsheets, client files, and feedback forms

Required

Associate of Arts Degree AND completion of a Paralegal degree or certificate from an ABA accredited program

Experience working as a paralegal and/or providing support to non-profit legal organizations

Demonstrated strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow written and verbal directions

Experience using Canvas, or other learning management systems

Proficient with computer technology skills for Word, Excel, and Google Calendar, Docs, Sheets and Drive

Ability to contribute to a team environment and communicate effectively with faculty, staff, and students
