AIPSO is a management organization and service provider for various insurance industry groups responsible for administering the residual market. They are seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to work with internal teams to design, develop, and implement business initiatives while serving as a liaison between business customer groups and IT.

Responsibilities

Work with internal teams to design, develop and implement business initiatives

Serve as a business focused liaison between business customer groups and IT

Consult with internal and external customers to define business needs and develop project proposals

Collaborate with IT to develop solution alternatives with an eye toward continuous improvement

Perform research and gather business requirements as needed to conduct the project scope definition process

Document existing business processes and participate in process improvement projects

Collaborate with senior level PMO business systems analysis to assist in the development of solution alternatives that address identified business needs

Analyze existing workflows and procedures for the development of new software as well as enhancing and maintaining existing software products

Analyze business requirements from multiple sources and then determine areas of similarity and differences/gaps between programs

Lead project teams with miscellaneous tasks such as testing and table configuration to help drive projects to completion

Required

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university in an Information Systems focused major is preferred. Additional appropriate experience will be considered in lieu of a degree

3 or more years of progressive experience in cross-functional business and/or systems analysis role

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office productivity tools (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel) to manage work

Effective problem-solving skills, including ability to analyze issues, find the root cause of the problem, and consider a wide range of alternatives before acting

Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups or individuals

Ability to multi-task and demonstrate flexibility while maintaining attention to detail

Demonstrate excellent organizational skills

Ability to work independently and interact professionally and effectively in a team environment

Demonstrate excellent customer service skills by being able to follow directions and interpret customer needs

Ability to quickly and efficiently learn existing business procedures that utilize automated systems and to apply this knowledge to assist with both projects and operational support
