Responsibilities
Assembling, fitting and repairing tools
Following engineering drawings to measure and mark out the design for the tool
Using machinery such as manual and CNC lathes, manual and CNC mills, presses, and grinders to cut and shape the tools
Using 2D and 3D computer aided design and manufacturing software (CAD/CAM)
Using precision measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, microhite, etc
Assisting with tool maintenance
Schedule workflows in tool room
Support engineering staff in the design of tools and dies
Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and organized fashion that follows all required safety policies and regulations
Qualification
Required
Ability to read drawings and process sheets
Working knowledge of GD&T
Preferred
3+ years toolmaking experience
3+ years running manual and CNC lathes and mills
