Responsibilities
Responsible for managing and resolving problems within packaging category as needed
Support cost estimates, price forecasts, and budgeted financial results
Provide support for obtaining vendor and operational alignment in the execution of marketing and sales initiatives
Support identifying suppliers in accordance to strategy and facilitating key supply relationships
Responsible for identification and execution of cost savings projects and continuous improvements efforts:
Responsible for identification and implementation of accretive sustainable packaging solutions
Responsible for develop process to identify and prioritize proposed projects
Provide support for guiding company packaging excellence through technical expertise
Develop packaging standards, specifications and best practices
Coordinate packaging performance and qualification testing
Perform root-cause analysis and problem solving to issues with current packaging and process
Provide technical expertise to achieve resolution of issues through knowledge of the company’s manufacturing and packaging needs
Responsible for developing and executing company packaging commercialization process
Cross functional involvement
Data management
Structural integrity
Responsible for being company’s liaison on industry trends and regulations
Responsible for maintain relationships with vendors to identify improvement opportunities
Qualification
Required
Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Packaging Science, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Packaging Engineering, or Bachelor's degree in related field
Minimum of 5 years of Packaging R&D experience
Experience with corrugate, plastics, and films
Applied knowledge of packaging structures, barriers, and properties required
Demonstrated analytical and technical problem solving skills required
Flexibility and adaptive to a rapidly changing environment
Cross-functional project management skills required
Strong Excel-based PC analytic skills required
Travel- ~25% or as required

Applied knowledge of packaging machining capabilities preferred
