Responsibilities
Lead backend services that integrate AI into CivilGrid's geospatial platform
Collaborate with product leaders to prioritize technical scope and refine user workflows; translate product goals into system architecture and reliable feature delivery
Support junior engineers, facilitate knowledge-sharing, and champion code quality, best practices, and shared ownership
Ensure platform performance at scale; monitor metrics and maintain reliability, accuracy, and responsiveness
Qualification
Required
5+ years experience building complex systems
Experience with AI/ML tooling and integration into user-focused products
Experience with building agents using AWS Bedrock AgentCore
Strong backend skills: Python, Node.js, Go, or similar languages
DevOps competence: CI/CD, cloud architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Effective communicator, with collaborative experience in product-centric environments
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Preferred
Bonus: Prior exposure to construction or civil engineering workflows
