Collaborating with other members of the engineering team to develop designs and drawings

Preparing detailed design drawings, calculating materials requirements, and developing cost estimates for projects

Develop EDS models

Maintaining records of engineering designs and drawings in an electronic database

Developing electrical design standards for use in projects

Communicating with clients to discuss project details and clarify requirements

Qualification

Expert knowledge of NEC/NESC standardsExperience in oilGas operationsElectrical design standards developmentProject ManagementClient communicationMentoring staffIndependent work

Required

Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school

5 years related experience and/or training

Equivalent combination of education and experience

Expert knowledge of NEC/NESC standards

Experience in oil and gas operations and industrial facilities

Experience in interacting with the direct customer on a technical basis

Works independently with little to no supervision

Able to provide direction and solutions to lesser experienced staff

Can mentor staff
