Entry-Level Bridge Engineer - Networking Event with AECOM – Raleigh
AECOM is a global infrastructure consulting firm dedicated to delivering a better world. They are seeking an Entry-Level Bridge Engineer to assist with field inspections, design, and planning for bridges and structures throughout North Carolina and the southeast region.

Responsibilities
Assisting with the completion of field inspections and reporting on a regular basis of in-service bridges throughout North Carolina
Assist in the design and plan preparation for new and replacement bridges and structures in North Carolina and throughout the southeast region
Develops an awareness of standard practices, techniques, and procedures under supervision
Researches alternate solutions and design options in support of the project team, e.g. white paper research, code review
Provides analysis to support development of design ideas and solutions
Communicates and collaborates with full design team and others
Supports and assist the development of work products such as specifications, drawings, Aand illustrative graphics
Follows specific, detail instructions and set of technical approach for design
Develops details, edit specific and an awareness of QMS procedures
Assists in preparation of designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings and working drawings
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Valid U.S. Driver's License, and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM's motor vehicle records review
Preferred
Basic knowledge of word processors and spreadsheet tools (Such as Microsoft Word and Excel)
Experience or training in a CADD program (examples include Microstation, OpenRoads Designer, OpenBridge Designer, Autocad)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience in structural design and/or analysis software
