Responsibilities
Monitor network engineering performance to ensure system availability and reliability
Configure and install various network devices and services, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and QoS settings
Perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including applying service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations
Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning to optimize network performance
Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution and technical support
Qualification
Required
Candidates must have an active Secret clearance and verify, before applying, that you meet the minimum requirements of the position
Security Clearance: Top Secret
Education: BA/BS in Computer Science or a related field
Experience: Minimum of 10 years as a Network Engineer within the Department of Defense (DOD) environment
1 academic year at an accredited college or university in a preferred degree-related post-secondary program can be substituted for 1 year of experience
