Business Development Manager - Atlanta, GA

The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead the Home Depot Business Development Team sales plan. The role involves managing sales, POS, and forecasting information for a multi-million dollar product portfolio, as well as developing and implementing strategies for effective sales management.

Effectively managing plan-o-gram and display space
Order recommendations
Promotional plans
In-season trends
Sales, margins, turns, and fill rate goals
Establish positive relationships and communication with Home Depot contacts and internal Scott’s contacts
Develop, coordinate, communicate, and implement complex 'Plans of Action' for the Home Depot account

Qualification

Sales/account managementCorporate/National AccountsMicrosoft Office proficiencySAP/BW experienceConsumer product salesAnalytical skillsCommunication skillsPresentation skillsOrganizational skills

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or other relevant discipline required
Minimum of 3 years sales/account management experience
Previous experience calling on Corporate / National Accounts required
Ability to analyze category and product trends and translate them to executable strategies
Requires advanced communication and presentation skills

Preferred

Experience in consumer product sales preferred
Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency SAP / BW, Vision Chain experience preferred
