Human Resource Generalist

Responsibilities

Proactively partner with functional leadership and Sr. HR Members to assist in identifying organizational, talent, culture, or morale opportunities
Serve as the first point of contact to provide day-to-day employee assistance with questions
Support Sr. HR Leadership with the execution of the global Talent Management processes (e.g. Annual Performance Review, Talent Review & Succession Planning, Development Planning) for assigned client groups
Ensure compliance with Federal, state and local employment law and adherence to policies
Support with employee relations issues in assigned client groups, assistance in investigations, determining findings and aligning HR Management and Legal on recommended actions
Contribute to the execution of programs/initiatives designed to improve the employer brand of Campari America
Co-facilitate custom trainings as needed to support capability gaps for supervisors
Respond to general benefit inquiries and/or facilitate the resolution of issues with internal and/or external benefits resources
Support benefits administration to include change reporting, ensure accuracy of invoices for payment, and communicating benefit information to employees
Assist Benefits with LOA paperwork processes and maintenance of the LOA Tracker
Serve as the Payroll Coordinator and provide support in payroll administration
Maintain and update the Workforce Planning tool data to ensure accuracy, integrity, and timely availability of workforce information; regularly audit records, resolve discrepancies, and collaborate with stakeholders to support organizational decision-making and compliance
Continually monitor and assess the environment, culture and engagement of the facility and provide facility leadership team with insights and recommendations on how to drive improvement and/or mitigate risks
Source, select and hire qualified candidates to fill vacant Production Operations positions using cost-effective techniques and in accordance with company policies, procedures, and processes
Manage applicant flow to ensure availability of qualified candidates and compliance
Draft offer letters and the administration of all Operations offers (internal and/or external) paperwork, ensuring it is completed timely and accurately
Assist with background checks, and partner with HR leaders to assist with general candidate management activities
Assist with the Campari America On-Boarding program – responsible for co-facilitating the onboarding experience, including key stakeholder coordination and communications
Ensure that all new hire documents are completed, timely and accurately – managing the storage and retention to ensure ease of access and ability to audit as needed
Coordinate with key stakeholders such as, but not limited to, IT and Benefits, and Payroll to ensure new hires are enrolled in and/or have access to appropriate, systems and tools on day one and are quickly integrated to all Campari systems
Position primarily sits in Lawrenceburg and requires frequent on-site presence at our Danville location

Required

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or related field is required
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing facility
A minimum of 2 years of experience administering and coordinating departmental activities including interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating and developing employees
Understanding of routine HR processes and procedures
Proven ability to assist employees in policy interpretation and compliance
Working knowledge of state and federal labor laws
Demonstrated ability and proven experience in the area of employee relations: investigations, performance management, disciplinary action managements, etc
Ability to communicate, influence and partner effectively with plant supervisors/managers
Excellent working knowledge and skill using Microsoft office tool suite (word, excel, power point, email etc.); working knowledge of excel to conduct analysis, KPI Management, etc
Strong attention to detail and proven ability to deliver on commitments and follow-up
Ability to work independently, demonstrating sound judgment in prioritization and when to elevate issues for resolution
Strong command of English language with ability to communicate verbally and in writing to both internal and external customers
Demonstrated creativity and ability to identify opportunities to improve process and/or reporting efficiencies
Demonstrated ability to work effectively across multiple functions
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects/initiatives
