Responsibilities
Plans, directs, and executes the total housekeeping function at Cummins RMEP, which includes routine cleaning, recycling, dunnage management, etc
Manage hiring activities (ex. Workday job requisitions and associated activities, interview candidates, order background checks, New Employee Orientation NEO/New Employee Safety Orientation NESO, etc) Payroll, HSSE programs, and Quality Assurance(QA) programs
Conduct training of new employees in proper custodial procedures, equipment operation, and demonstrate new cleaning methods
Monitor performance of direct reports and proactively address policy violations and poor work performance
Report all incidents and injuries immediately to Account Manager
Maintains an inventory of cleaning supplies and materials; places materials orders when additional supplies and materials are needed
Notifies Maintenance Team of needed building repairs
Exercises initiative in planning and directing custodial operations to ensure adequate coverage to maintain assigned areas
Exercise independence in the performance of responsibilities; work is reviewed through general inspection and observation
Operate Powered Industrial Vehicles (Forklift, Tugger, Industrial Floor Scrubber, etc.) as needed to support plant operations
Respond to and resolve various emergency calls and routine calls for service
Operates various powered equipment in the performance of duties
Perform other duties as required
Qualification
Required
Previous commercial janitorial leadership is a requirement
Must be able to take direction, to work with minimal supervision, and to function cooperatively as part of a team
Requires attention to details, a pride in delivering excellent customer services, good organization, and high levels of energy and endurance
