Haddad Brands is a leader in the children’s wear industry with a century of experience. The Assistant Technical Designer will support the Technical Design team by ensuring consistent size, fit, and construction standards while collaborating with Design and Production.

Responsibilities

Assist in managing the product life cycle from sketch through pre-production and production samples

Work closely with Design to update measurements and specifications for the tech pack

Review and evaluate samples for spec, pattern shape, and construction

Communicate daily with overseas offices and vendors to identify and resolve issues with garment construction and production

Work closely with Design, Sourcing and Production to create cost effective styles in relation to fit and construction

Prepare for and assist during fit sessions and ensure comments and revisions are being tracked accordingly

Track and follow up on pending fit and pre-production approval to ensure on-time delivery

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design with a strong knowledge of garment construction and patternmaking

1+ years of experience in the fashion industry as an Assistant Technical Designer (children's wear experience a plus)

Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills with attention to detail

Strong knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, silhouettes, color ways, sewing techniques, fabrication and trim

Consistent in-office presence is vital to the role as it is for all Haddad Brands team members, so that we all have a full appreciation, aesthetically and tactilely, of the qualities that define our brand partners' products and set them apart from their competitors
