Start in 2026 SummerBolton & Menk, Inc. is accepting applications for their 2026 summer internship season in Des Moines. As a Project Communication Intern, you will assist the Communications team with external communication and community outreach efforts, gaining practical experience in creating and organizing marketing content.

Responsibilities
Perform a variety of duties related to creating, organizing, and editing content for marketing efforts
Serve as the liaison between the project team and the community on one or multiple projects
Attend weekly meetings with the project team and perform general clerical duties
Create project materials such as newsletters, project updates, notices, maps, and social media posts
Manage resident phone and email hotline
Assist with setup and cleanup of construction related events and meetings
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Selected candidates will be enrolled in a communications, marketing, journalism or other closely related field from an accredited college
Minimum Cumulative GPA: 2.8 GPA; Desired GPA 3.2 or above
Desired is Sophomore or above with completed coursework or experience in the marketing field; event management; social media/blogging, graphic design, ability to prepare effective and concise documents, free of grammatical and spelling errors
Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe programs, such as InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
Strong editing, grammar, and proofreading skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Students must possess a valid driver's license and their own transportation or have ability to use public transportation
Individuals must be legally authorized to work in the US at the start of employment without a need for current or future visa sponsorship
Preferred
Preference may be given to students who have completed a previous internship with Bolton & Menk
