Responsibilities

Update and release engineering drawings, models, and specifications for GMLRS and launch pod systems
Maintain and improve the GMLRS Technical Data Package (TDP) to support low rate production
Collaborate with cross functional teams (stress, materials, test, production) to resolve design issues and ensure manufacturability
Conduct design reviews, generate clear briefing materials, and communicate status to leadership
Perform root cause analysis of field reported problems and implement corrective actions
Ensure compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulations
Mentor junior engineers and share best practices to elevate team performance

Required

Strong performance as an individual contributor
Familiarity with supporting functions including Quality, Stress Analysis, Production Operations
Geometric Dimension and Tolerance experience
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance

Preferred

Missile or Rocket program experience is preferred but not required
Proficiency in PTC Creo for part and assembly design, and Windchill for managing engineering data and documentation
Previous experience in a Material Review Board (MRB) role, particularly in a production setting
Familiarity with the transition from development to production, including the resolution of design issues and optimization for mass production
Experience in mechanical design (preferably production phase) in aerospace or a similar industry
Prior experience with Lockheed Martin programs or similar defense contractors is a plus
Experience in working with, and providing technical oversight, to subcontracted suppliers
