2026 Summer Supply Chain - Contract Mgmt Internship
Murphy Oil Corporation is seeking a motivated Contract Management Intern to support their Global Contracts Team in streamlining contract processes and enhancing compliance. The intern will gain hands-on experience in Contract Lifecycle Management and contribute to strategic initiatives while developing skills in organizing and digitizing legal documents for efficiency.

Responsibilities
Research and report on ways to use Copilot AI tools more efficiently for contract management
Provide support with Icertis CLM platform
Document the end-to-end contract process to identify bottlenecks and propose automation opportunities and other technological solutions
Review and organize legacy contracts, ensuring metadata accuracy and searchability
Assist in cleaning up folder structures and centralizing templates/files into a digital repository
Review recent contracts and redlines to identify frequently negotiated clauses (e.g., indemnification, limitation of liability, insurance)
Compare standard clauses across suppliers to identify inconsistencies or risks
Map out MSAs in a simplified way that explains each article and their interactions
Build a contract review playbook for the Global Contracts Team, including standard terms, fallback positions, and negotiation guidelines
Gather team input on handling exceptions and document acceptable positions and alternative language
Create executive summaries of key contracts for leadership visibility
Qualification
Required
Must be enrolled in a curriculum leading to a Baccalaureate degree or higher in Business Administration, Legal Studies, Pre-Law, Paralegal Studies, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, MIS, Data Analytics, or Economics and have two (2) years or less from graduation date
Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university program for the duration of the 2026 internship
Minimum twelve (12) continuous weeks' availability for internship

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred
Familiarity with contract structures, clauses, and negotiation principles
A genuine interest in legal operations, procurement, or compliance
Comfortable with digital tools and display a willingness to learn platforms such as Icertis and Copilot AI
